Does it cost for jewelry appraisal?

happygal asked:

I have my diamond wedding rings that I am selling for lower then their value and I do not have the paper work for. A man wants to purchase them, but take them to a jeweler to get appraised to make sure they are real, etc. Does anyone know if that costs money? It will be in the Quad City area.
Thank you everyone!! That’s what I was hoping!! =)

Not usually…but if you want a certificate to validate the appraisal then you would most likely have to pay for that

SHOULD BE FREE. CALL AHEAD TO BE SURE. GET SEVERAL APPRAISALS TO BE SURE. CAN VARY,AND SOME ARE NOT HONEST..IF THEY THINK YOU ARE SELLING TO THEM!

yes it costs money if you want a real certification. If you just want them to tell you what they think it costs just by looking at it, it will be free.
