    To obtain good results you’d need to get a light tent, which defuses the light. Now place strong light sources at several faces of the tent (on the outside) and take pictures using no flash. If you want to get the “sparkling effect” of the diamond, use a small led illumination within the tent directed at the diamond at an angle so that only secondary reflections hit the camera.
