Do you personally know of someone who has actually received a car or diamond jewelry for Christmas?

well sometimes my dad gets a diamond ring for my mom but thats it.

my mum got an engagement ring for christmas a few years ago, it was a really nice suprise because nobody new about it and all the family was around when she got it.

Sometimes men choose to propose on Christmas Day. My sister got an engagement ring a few years ago for Christmas. I have honestly never heard of anyone getting a car for the holiday. Unless you are crazy rich and spoiled! I definately think a diamond is possible though!!

My son gave me diamond earrings and a necklace for his first Christmas, but I am thinking that my husband helped him shop. This year my mom is getting a 3 week Mediterranean cruise (going in the spring) from my dad; I think that would also fall into your luxury gift category.Having some family in the car business, I do know that a lot of couples buy themselves a car for Christmas, but they do it as a ‘together gift.’

when i turned 16 which was quite a long time ago i received a 1969 camaro all done up to the hills… my parents got it for me for a summer car and they knew that i would love it… last year i was in a car accident and i lost my truck… i was not able to afford to buy another one and xmas morning i walked into the garage and there was a nice brand new suv in there… was so surprised and never expected it to say the least… last year xmas as well my now fiance gave me a diamond engagement ring and yes it is a real diamond..
some ppl have never had this happen to them i know.. but you never know what will happen in life… i never expected my parents and my fiance to go out and do this kind of thing.. but yes this does happen in life…

last year i got a pony … with a big red bow on it =]
one of the common “christmas cliches” i suppose though, but I dont think it is a common occurrence for many people to get cars though.

Well, it isn’t the 5ct dimond rings that I see on TV but I did get a pair of Dimond Earrings for my second xmas with my X.
They cost about $100.00 and were “Small” (to other people) but I was greatly apprecitave.
So, yes, Normal people do get dimonds for xmas!

My mom receives a diamond every two years and the other years she receives a topaz. that is something my dad does to show her how much she really means to him.

I wish….
My mom’s ex husband gave me a car for my 19th birthday, I was also pregnant with my son at the time, as a gift.
Turns out the car was stolen… Thankfully I didn’t have my liscense yet and wasn’t able to even drive it home, so it sat at his apartment complex until the cops found it.
Can’t imagine why she didn’t keep him around

I have gotten diamonds for the past 3 years for Christmas from my husband. And my dad used to get my mom jewelry every year as well and made a game of it by hiding it in the Christmas tree! I don’t think it is as unlikely as you think it is!

My brother got a car. It was used my dad paid cash. We put a big ribbon on it. The car was parked at someones house on Christmas my dad and I said we were going to the store. He drove the back and parked it in the driveway. It was great!

no, i don’t know anyone who has. i personally have never owned a car or diamond jewelry at all. i wonder if people do get those for christmas.
