Some of those cleaners are too harsh and don't work so good. If you're worried if the diamond is real or not, scratch it against a mirror & if it cuts the glass, it's real. It will look as good as knew, unless it is not a real diamond???? Most reputible diamond jewelers, (not the mall stores) will do this for free if you are nice to them when asking, or are showing interest in buying additional items.
