Yeah I do. I wish they would spend some of the millions they spend on “Bling” on fixing up poor communities, ya know the ones they sing about all the time. Life is bigger than bitches and jewelry and it’s sad that they don’t do more for their communities.

i always ask myself, why some rappers wear typical women’s sunglasses…it looks so damn ridiculous.
because of the way they present their lifestyle (thru mtv etc.), everybody wants to be a rapper and thatswhy we have so many phony rappers out there looking for an one hit wonder song. thank you for nothing.

No, because this is the first time alot of them have ever accumulated any type of wealth and don’t know what to do with it because they haven’t had opportunities. I am happy for them. If they want to sport bling…good for them..I don’t and would not but I am from a different class and had access to things they didn’t have.
Rock artists wear sevens of all mankind and other 2 or $300 jeans and thousand dollar suits that don’t advertise their label but still wear pricey stuff…rappers just flaunt it differently. More power to them , I am happy to see them successful and not in poverty with no opportunities and aholes saying they want a handout when they need a hand up. If the music is good I listen if it isn’t I ignore…image isn’t everything Nas (Slick Rick,Rakim,etc.. wears chains and is very deep.

i completely understand what you mean. and what’s the point of wearing such huge dangling stuff of your neck, it looks ridiculous. and they only do it because everybody else does it, typical.

seriously, the jewelry rappers wear are ridiculously stupid. for example, sean kingston’s crayon box, gucci mane’s garfield & bart simpson, yung berg’s transformer; its pretty cool and retarded at the same time, and etc.
I agree with Maino, 8 out of 10 of rapper’s jewelry are fake or borrowed.

Well I think it motivates people to go out and want to do something so they can have all that but drugs isnt the way to go itll get you little money and eventually no money because youll be in jail but everyones got a gift and some people have yet to or never will find out what their good at because of their environmet holding them back.

Some people fail to realize that most of the bling worn by rappers and the cars in some videos are not owned but leased.I agree that most fans see this as high a status lifestyle. All I see when I watch these videos is a modern game of dress up.

I am in total agreement with you. It is ok to have money but sometimes they flaunt it ridiculously. It makes people want to go out and buy grills that don’t have any business buying them. They spend their last money on this jewelry and neglect the things that need to be taken care of. Although some of it is blingy and beautiful most of it is just comedy.
