No ..it really should be fine, I have some really good diamonds and I sometimes soak them over night ….get a real soft brush and brush it lightly and rinse it real well while you are brushing it. I know with mine it is fine to leave them.

you can go to the jewelry store and they will clean it for you. my mom does it sometimes and hers always look beautiful after she scratches them and only god knows what haha.

From my research, depending upon the composition of the cleaning solution, this may discolor your diamond. See the following website for advice or visit a jeweler for a professional cleaning.

diamond should be fine, diamonds are extremely tough. if you have doubts take it to a jeweler and let them look at it, its hard to tell whats wrong with it without seeing it.
