Any idea how much a pawn shop would give me for my diamond jewelry set?

Ash asked:

I need cash quick, but I don’t want to sell my jewelry, I just want to pawn it temporarily. I will have the money in a couple of months, easy, I just need it now. I have a jewelry set comprised of white and yellow gold earings and necklace, completely covered in small diamonds. It’s less than a year old, in perfect condition. I know the set was about $1200 on sale when it was bought, and probably worth closer to $1600 give or take. Do you think a pawn shop would give me $500-600 for it? More? Less?

much less, they are notorious. i’d suggest placing it on ebay. bidders will get close to the actual value. look up the jewelry listings that are ending soonest and get an idea of how well it would do.

Figure significantly less then what you think - I sold a ring worth about that and got less than $100.

What does pawn it temporarily mean? If you really need cash quick, and can pay it back on time, try looking for a payday loan
