Does it really matter if anyone bought from there? It's senseless to think about things like if someone bought from their when countless people in africa probably died over that diamond.

why didnt you ask this before you actually bought anything there? what does it matter now???

is your ring a 3 carat solitaire? or is it total weight of many smaller stones ? if it is one stone that is 3 carats you must have a GIA or other reputable certificate that lists all measurments and other factors such as color and clarity of your ring. you should also have an appraisal. if you do not have this, you need to go get it. if you have a solitaire did they give you in writing a guaranteed trade in price in case you want a bigger stone later?

if it is a ring of smaller stones do you have a certificate telling you exactly what the quality of each stone is and how big it is? and how many carats in weight the whole ring is, in writing?

3 carats is beautiful. The bigger the better. Anyone who says smaller is better probably has a tiny diamond and is totally jealous of you. I have heard of Jewelry Exchange and I have heard they are affordable and have good quality diamonds. Wear your rock with pride, you will be envied! Good luck!

I personally think they are great, especially since they will let you bring them old gold from pieces you don't and never will wear anymore and use it to offset the cost of the settings.

Buying a diamond is just like any other purchase. Do your homework. It's ignorant to walk into a store totally relying on the salespeople who have a vested interest in your purchase to teach you everything. You wouldn't walk into a car dealership and say "I want a car..four wheels please?"....no usually you have done some research and know what model, at the very least what manufacture.

IMO, a 3 carat is not a good size. Anything above 2 carats is too "look at me!" and just gets in the way. They are more likely to snag on something or get knocked around. I would much rather purchase a smaller flawless diamond than go halfway and get the bigger rock...but that is all personal decision and why you need to intimately aqquaint yourself with cut, clarity, color, and carat.
