How do I go about naming a Jewelry business?

diamond jewelry
??®?? asked:

I make hand-made jewelry. No diamond and gemstone stuff but mostly glass, metal, magnetic, and plastic beads. I make earrings as well with the same medium. I want to just print up basic business cards when I setup shop at local flea markets, bazaar’s, and festivals. Also I need help with a slogan to go with it for my website. Help Please!
I would rather not use either part of my name. It might scare people off..lol..

Think of a name and have it printed on the cards. How much more simple can it be?

Something creative, and not corny. But if you want to go the easy route just use your last name.

wow did you know that small magnets have been known to rupture intestines of small children who have swallowed them? what happens is as they pass thro the gut and since the gut is folded up the magnets can starts sticking together at random places along it.

you probably know this and taking all the safety precautions to inform people that jewels are not toys but i just thought i’d better mention it.

Sorry if i sound patronising. Good luck with your business.

Do you want your name in it cause sometimes that gives people a unique way to remember but won’t work if you name is too hard to spell or pronounce..so take something like your name & match it with a nice jewlery word or a positive feeling word & match with with you jewlery..think about how you will feel years from now with that name or in different situations..then take the name & ask people if it is a good name…I live in a area that has a person who drives van & has a mobile business called doogie do’s well when I think of doggie do I don’t think of hair styles I think of dog poop so I guess no one else told them that…also do you want to the name to be elegant, classy, basic so decide what feeling you want your name to bring.

Call it Blackburner’s Safety Designs after the maudlin soul who’s worried about choking risks. Blimey, you can’t spend your life being like that!

Go with your name, like “Jacob’s Jewelry” or something with your specialty like “The Beadworker” or “Hopeful Handmaking”
or if you have a special timeperiod that you work for, use something like “Today’s Renaissance”

And your slogan should be a sentence that describes you and your work.

    “From me to you”
    “Handmade jewelry that rocks”
    “I make you look good”
